CRISTINA MCKEEVER

Cristina McKeever is originally from Palm Springs, CA. Cristina graduated Summa Cum Laude from Chapman University in Orange, CA, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Performance and a minor in Italian Studies. Upon the completion of her education, Cristina moved to Los Angeles and is represented by Go2Talent Agency. Cristina also works in Arts Administration as the Program Administrator for the Dance Resource Center of Los Angeles. Known for her versatility and intelligence, Cristina is a well-rounded performer and a life-long learner.

 

Cristina has worked with choreographers Alexis Carra, Michelle Elkin, Will Bell, Jason Rodgers, Melinda Sullivan, Dana Wilson & more. She has performed with Chloe Arnold's “Syncopated Ladies”   @ The Staples Center, "Syncopated Ladies: Live!" in Oxnard and Escondido, CA and more. She has also worked on the set of CBS’s “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and NBC’s “A Legendary Christmas”. She appeared as a soloist for Casa Romantica Cultural Center’s, “Celebrating Tap Dance Legends” & performed in New York City for choreographer, Riley Roberts, in the 2018 Capezio A.C.E. Awards. She was also featured in J.ournal Poem’s music video, “9/12” choreographed by Victoria Pizzo, and in Steady Holiday’s newest music video, “Who’s Gonna Stop Us''. Most recently, Cristina performed in Hollywood at the historic Montalbán Theatre for Broadway to the Rescue’s “Big Fat Christmas Show” and just returned from performing on international waters for Hapag-Lloyd’s MS Europa with Christopher Erk’s “The Tap Factor.”

Most recently, Cristina was selected as a finalist for the 2020 McCallum Theatre's Choreography Festival and was named the winner of 2019 IAF Creators Exhibit by Tyce Diorio, Chehon Wespi-Tschopp & Melanie Benzin. Cristina has also choreographed for Disney as well as , “The List'', the official music video for L.A. based and internationally touring band, Moonchild, which currently has over 1 million views. Her work has also appeared at the Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles as well as Club Jete, Youth American Grand Prix, Chapman University and more. She continues to create work that can be found online at her YouTube and Instagram platforms.

Cristina cares deeply about creating a formative and supportive educational environment for young + pre-professional dancers. She is currently on faculty at Elements Dance Space (Pasadena, CA) & Dance Dimensions (Palm Desert, CA) and has been an instructor/choreographer for various dance studios in the SoCal region as well an adjudicator for conventions/competitions throughout the nation. Her passion for arts education has also allowed her to perform on behalf of the The Music Center of L.A. with Channing Cook-Holmes’ show, “Got Rhythm” and Oasis Center International alongside Jason Rodgers, for their arts education program entitled, “Making Music”, bringing Tap Dance and live music to public schools.
